Deepfake technology’s breakneck growth in competency and accessibility carries an insidious danger to — despite what many believe — far more than just celebrities and notable figures.
The adult-film industry’s flagship awards show was deliberately chosen to spotlight malicious use in pornography, leveraging its cultural visibility to champion ethical standards and spark awareness of unregulated access to its capabilities.
I created posters depicting unlikely candidates posed on the awards show red carpet, each underscored by their laudable ‘accolade’.
Leveraging morbid intrigue and disgust was key to alerting our audience to the risks the technology poses — a danger that spares no one, not even themselves.
Somber messaging involved the viewer in our narrative, and led to a clear takeaway — to call upon regulatory authorities to act before malicious actors run amok.
